Volunteer Advocates recruitment


SAFE project: Support, Advocacy and Financial representation for the Elderly

Lloyds TSB Foundation Trust has recently given funding to Advocacy In Barnet to provide advocacy in financial
matters, including protecting older people from financial abuse. We are recruiting new volunteers for this project over 30 years of age with a financial and or legal background

ARR project: Advance Rapid Response 

ARR is a pilot project set up for a year aimed to provide advocacy services to older patients in Royal Free Hospital. ARRS volunteer advocates will also visit patients on Ward 8 West on a weekly basis and will be Supporting older patients as a ward based service, Ensuring their rights and interests are secured and represented & Improving their physical health and emotional wellbeing. We are recruiting new volunteers or this project over 50 years of age with health and or care background.

Next available training date for Introduction to Advocacy is yet to be confirmed.

As a volunteer you will receive;

  free training and development opportunities; free enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check

  on-going support and supervision; travel expenses

As a volunteer Advocate you will be part of a team. You will be able to develop your skills through the varied work you will undertake with different individuals.
